OOps. I forgot to answer your questions. I heard about ALA (American Library Association) through some other bloggers on twitter. I only had to pay $25.00 for the weekend to be able to go. All of the books were free! I know that TLA (Texas Library Association-I think that is what it stands for) in in April in Houston. And BEA is in NYC. I'm not sure when though. I just moved to Texas from NY a few months ago, or I would totally be going to BEA! Hope that helps!
