Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. This week's question is:

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

I would definitely like to see Life As We Knew It by Susan B. Pfeffer to be made into a movie! That would just be one of the greatest movies ever. And who I would play as Miranda? Hmmm I'm not really sure. That's a tough question. I kind of pictured her looking a little bit like Miranda Cosgrove, but she does not act that way at all! So I could never cast her as Miranda. It would have to be someone a little bit more frail, but yet very strong and determinated.

What book would you like to be seen made into a movie??

Every night, while sixteen-year-old London Land is asleep, her memory of that day is erased. In the morning, all she can "remember" are events from her future. London is used to relying on reminder notes and a trusted friend to get through the day, but things get complicated when a new boy at school enters the picture. 
Luke Henry isn't someone you'd easily forget, yet try as she might, London can't find him in her memories of things to come.
When London starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks, or flash-forwards, as the case may be, she realizes it's time to learn about the past she keeps forgetting--before it destroys her future.

I've seem to forgotten to find the time to read this week! Hopefully you will be seeing more of me here on Magic Is In Words!

I was very intrigued by the book, and I have to say that I was pleased with it. It is definitely unique! And the whole time I could not guess what was going to happen next- which doesn't happen often. I love that this book is so unpredictable.

As for the characters. obviously only being able to see parts of the future is a pretty awesome characteristic. But besides that, London is a pretty average teenage girl: she is falling in love, she is protective of her best friend, and she has some pretty embarrassing moments in gym class!

Luke. Luke, Luke, Luke!!! He is fascinating, and I love the first date he took London on--very sweet. What I love about London and Luke's relationship the most is the fact that even though London has pictures and reads her notes, she is amazed at how gorgeous Luke is every day she "meets" him!

Overall I was pretty captivated by this book. It is a pretty fast read (as long as you have time to read!) and I love the plot. Some of the plot was a little crazy and sometimes hard to believe, especially towards the end, but I did love the last line of the book.

In Deuce's world, an enclave deep underground, people earn the right to a name only if they survive their first fifteen years. By that point, each unnamed "brat" has trained to join one of three groups--Breeders, Builders, or Hunters, identifiable by the number of scars they bear on their arms. Deuce has wanted to be  a Huntress for as long as she can remember.
As a Huntress, her purpose is clear--to brave the dangerous tunnels outside the enclave and bring back meat to feed the group while evading the ferocious monsters known as Freaks. She's worked toward this goal her whole life, and nothing's going to stop her, not even a brooding Hunter named Fade.When the mysterious boy becomes her partner, Deuce's troubles are just beginning.
Fade doesn't like following orders. Deuce has never known a boy like him before, someone as likely to touch her gently as use his knives with feral grace.
As Deuce's perception shifts, so does the balance in the battle for survival. The mindless Freaks, once considered a threat due to their sheer numbers, now show  signs of cunning and even strategy . . . but the elders refuse to heed any warnings. No matter how hard she tries, Deuce cannot stem the dark tide that carries her far from the only world she's ever known.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Enclave. I was instantly drawn into the story by the mysterious and unusual setting--underground tunnels. It was riveting and tense at times, and just shocked me.

I really admired the characters because they were all different in so many ways. They contrasted each other, yet worked perfectly (most of the time) together. Deuce seemed too strong to be a real person, but it was believable because of the environment that she grew up in.

*Slight Spoiler*
The only thing I would've done differently with the characters is finished their stories! I want to know is Duece and Fade ended up together, along with what happens to Tegan and Stalker!

Overall I was pleasantly surprised with Enclave. It's a great new adventure, and though post-apocalyptic books are very "in" right now, this one is pretty unique. I haven't read anything quite like it before. It's a great read, so don't skip it!

When Cal and Eliot meet by chance in the mountains of North Carolina, they feel an immediate connection.
Against the quirky backdrops of a Christian fat camp and a Renaissance Faire, Cal struddles with her mother's waning interest in parenting, while Eliot wrestles with his father's misplaced faith. Cal and Eliot's bond grows stronger as they ace such challenges as a missing camper, a flodd, and a self-absorbed jouster who has his eye on Cal's mom. Will Cal and eliot find a safe home in each other, or is their relationship destined to be short lived?

I swear, I've read this book more than any other book I own, well have read, I don't even own this one yet! There are just so many things about this book that draw me in: quirky characters, interesting setting, and of course, the cover/title.

Calliope first of all, is such a great name! It's unique and I just fell in love with it the first time I read it. She and Eliot are such peculiar characters. They have easy back-and-forth conversations that are full of sarcasm and hidden jokes. Their love is a rare kind of love, and I just love it(:

The setting was very inviting too. I loved the aspect of a Renaissance Faire and sleeping in a tent, I just wish they had done more with the tent aspect in the book. As for the religious fat camp... I have no words to describe it!

Overall I am just in love with this book. It is a great, sappy love story and I love reading it.
